How to make a year-at-a-glance wallpaper from your photos

In short: Pick the Timeline scene and the Year layout. Twelve months sit in one grid and each photo goes into the month it was taken.

01

What you end up with

Your year on one screen: twelve months in a 4 by 3 grid, each holding the photo (or several) from that month. A good wallpaper for the end of the year or for a family year in review.

Make it in Sticta

  1. Create a project and switch the scene to Timeline.
  2. Under Layout choose Year, then set the Period to the year you want.
  3. Set Background to Calendar paper.
  4. Drag your photos in. Each one goes into the month it was taken.
  5. Photos without a date wait in a row at the bottom. Drag one onto a month to put it there.
  6. Click Set as Wallpaper.
03

A few photos per month

The best photos of each month fit in its cell. For one standout photo per month, add one; for a busy month, the cell shows several.

Want a different look? Select a sticker and pick a style in the inspector: Classic (cut-out with an outline), Polaroid, Original photo (the photo as it was taken, no cut-out) or Clean cut. Mixing styles makes a wallpaper feel less uniform.

Other ways to see a year

Layouts that show a year: Year ribbon (months in one row), Seasons (four cells) and Clothesline (photos hung along a string).
