Privacy Policy
In short: Sticta doesn't collect any data. Your photos, stickers and projects stay on your Mac.
This policy explains how Sticta for macOS (“Sticta”, “the app”) handles your information. Sticta is made by Mateusz Czechowski (“we”, “us”).
Data we collect
None. We don't collect, receive, store or share any personal data, usage data, diagnostics or identifiers. We don't run any servers that the app talks to.
Your photos
Sticta has no access to your Photos library. You choose each photo yourself, using the standard macOS file picker or by dragging it into the app. Sticta only sees the photos you give it.
To make stickers, Sticta keeps a resized copy of each photo you choose, together with the cut-out you create. To place stickers on the travel map, Sticta reads the location (GPS coordinates) stored in the photo and works out the country on your Mac, using map data built into the app. Location data never leaves your Mac.
Where your data is stored
Projects, stickers and the wallpaper images Sticta creates are stored in Sticta's own folder on your Mac. They are never sent to us or anyone else. If you back up your Mac with iCloud or Time Machine, Apple handles those copies under its own terms, not us.
Deleting your data
You can delete stickers and projects in the app at any time. Deleting Sticta from your Mac removes the app and its data folder. We never have a copy of your data, so there's nothing for us to delete.
Purchases
Sticta is free to download from the Mac App Store and offers one optional in-app purchase, Sticta Unlimited. Apple processes all purchases, including restoring a purchase and Family Sharing. We never receive your name, payment details or Apple Account.
To know whether Sticta Unlimited is unlocked, the app asks macOS (Apple's StoreKit), which checks the purchase on your Mac. Sticta itself sends nothing anywhere. It only remembers on your Mac whether the purchase is active, so the app opens unlocked straight away. Apple's Privacy Policy explains how Apple handles purchase information.
Children
Sticta doesn't collect data from anyone, including children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country).
This website and our email list
This website (sticta.app) uses no cookies, analytics or trackers. It is hosted on GitHub Pages, and GitHub may keep standard server logs, such as IP addresses, for security. We don't see those logs.
If you join Sticta's email list, your address is stored by our email provider, EmailOctopus (Three Hearts Digital Ltd, United Kingdom), on servers in Ireland. EmailOctopus handles it only on our behalf. We use it only to email you about Sticta: first a confirmation email, then the launch announcement with a discount code, and after that occasional news such as new scenes or offers. We never sell or share your address. You can unsubscribe with the link in any of these emails, or write to us and we'll delete your address straight away. We keep it until you unsubscribe.
Your rights
Under the GDPR and similar laws, you have the right to access, correct or delete personal data held about you. Apart from an email address you gave us for Sticta's email list (see above), we don't hold any personal data about you. If you email us, we use your email address and message only to reply, and we delete the conversation once it's no longer needed.
Changes to this policy
If Sticta ever changes how it handles data, we'll update this page and the date at the top before the change takes effect.
